This privacy policy aims to give you information on how Vix Technology collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website, including any data you may provide.

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect sensitive data.

It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other privacy policy,  fair processing policy or other related documents we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you.  This ensures you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. 

This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies.

2. The Data We Collect About You

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

Information may include your name, contact information, job title, company name and address.  This information is collected when you submit a contact us form or if you sign up to download our white paper.

2.2. Device Data

Information may be collected about your device when you visit our website including your browser type, IP address and device information.

2.3. Analytics and Tracking Data

When you visit our website and opt-in to receive analytics cookies from us we may collect information about your device including IP address, browser type and device information.

This may also include other information such as which pages you visit, links you have clicked on within our website, browsing time, language (locale) and user agent of the browser and device type.

On our website we use analytics cookies which will track your behaviour through our website and allow us to analyse how you use our website as well as to show you ads across the internet so we can provide more relevant content for you.

Our analytics cookies will then be used with data matching to show you ads which are more relevant to you.

This will also include behavioural tracking such as tracking which pages our users visit, which parts of the pages are clicked on, links which are clicked on within our pages and which part of our website is most popular with users. 

The data gathered remains anonymous for us and offers us no way to determine the identity of the users.

The analytics cookies also allow us to analyse where users are coming from (Geographic Location), the amount of traffic that our website receives and to monitor our SEO ranking.

You can opt out by declining the cookies when you first visit our website or by opening the cookie tool and then rejecting the cookies.

Aggregated Data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.

This email may be used to send you marketing communications, newsletters, webinar invitations or white papers.

2.5. Special Category Data

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

2.6. Social Media

When you engage with any of our posts on social media, we may collect information such as your profile name (including any other information you make available to us when you interact with our posts (depending on your profile settings)), posts viewed, number of clicks on a post, information on who has liked our posts or commented on them.  

2.7. Personal Data Not Collected

As part of the processing activities mentioned above, Vix does not collect or process special category or criminal offence data such as ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, criminal convictions, genetic data or biometric data, or data of minors from its website visitors.

A cookie is a small file that first requires permission before being placed on your computer’s hard drive. Vix Technology uses traffic log cookies to identify which web pages are being used. 

This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve the website in order to meet customer (and potential customer) needs. Information is used for statistical analysis purposes and the said information may not be removed from the system. 

Vix Technology utilises analytics cookies to record such information (please see section 2.3 for more information). 

Cookies do not give Vix Technology access to a visitor’s computer or any personal information about a visitor, other than the information chosen by a visitor to be shared with Vix Technology.

8. International Data Transfers

Please note that some sub processors / data recipients may be located outside of the UK or EU.  In such cases we will transfer your data only to such countries as approved by the ICO (Data Protection Act, UK GDPR) and the European Commission (EU GDPR), as providing adequate level of data protection, or enter into legal agreements (such as IDTAs or SCCs) ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

We may also share your personal data within the Vix Technology Group and the wider ICM Mobility Group. This will involve transferring your data outside the UK.

9. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

We will retain your personal information for no longer than necessary to provide our services, our website and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. 

Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. 

In this case, we will notify you without undue delay and keep you updated.

We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise this Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy Policy on our website.
