DELIVERING A FRICTIONLESS FARE EXPERIENCE FOR BRUSSELS STIB
Initiated at the beginning of 2019, the seamless Account Based Ticketing and a Secure Middle Office Automated Fare Collection platform for STIB was launched successfully in July 2020. The new programme successfully delivered on STIB goals to reduce cash handling and support a more frictionless passenger experience from day one, with 1.2 million euros of financial transactions processed during the first quarter of operation.
