Transport Ticketing Global 2017

For the fourth consecutive year, Vix was the headline and Platinum sponsor for Transport Ticketing and also provided the ticketing solution for the event. We were very excited to sponsor and proud to be a part of such a great event!

Transport Ticketing is an annual conference and exhibition in London for the public transport community, taking place on 24 and 25 January with the EMV conference running on 26 January. Transport Ticketing is the largest event devoted to transit ticketing and outlooks around the technology and political issues.

Delivering the keynote address to more than 700 delegates, Aaron Ross, Vix Managing Director EMEA, set the tone of the conference, discussing the pace of technological innovation and how the public transport industry can learn from other industries. Following his address he joined a global city panel discussion on what the connected vision looks like for public transport, featuring senior representatives from the Barcelona, London and Singapore transport authorities.

David Jacobs, Head of Solutions

Adrian Kelly, Vix’s Global Head of Product, led a packed session where he advised delegates on how the industry must navigate along the journey to creating a single market for Mobility as a Service (MaaS).

On day two, Vix’s Head of Solutions, David Jacobs, was featured on a popular panel discussion that focused on which public transport technology solutions will be dominating city centres in the next five years.

Closing both days was a dragon's den style competition, featuring startups from across the industry who each had the chance to deliver a short presentation on their product or service, then face examination and review from a panel of judges, which included Aaron Ross.
